I have a better idea... You can do what everyone else does! Fill your tank with water from your sink and add dechlorinating chemicals (sold at any pet store). Whether you use sink or fridge water, you still need to dechlorinate the water. By the way, a 10 gallon tank is a little small, too small for most Cichlids (including Oscars, Angelfish, Discus), Goldfish, Pacus, Bala Sharks, Clown Loaches, and any fish that gets longer than 5 inches long. Before you buy any fish, always ask how big the fish will get... also, research every fish you ever consider buying, many pet stores are there to make money and will sell you fish that they know will get far too big for your tank, so be careful, for your wallet and your fish!

You can use that water, and use some tap water to warm it. Unless you're not using the tap water because it's city water/chlorinated water? In that case, just buy some dechlorinator, there's a bunch of brands out there. If your fridge water has a filter that removes chlorine/chloramine(not sure if they do or not), just let it sit out for awhile till it gets room temperature.

The water is too cold and might condensate the outside wall of the glass to tell if its leaking or not and its gonna take allot more time than just putting normal tap water in bucket and pouring it into the tank.

Hope this info helps!
