In Internet Explorer 7, go to the down arrow and click "Find More Providers" if you don't have it and "Change Search Defaults" if you do, and you can add your own search engines using the prompt on Microsoft.com. However, instead of Google, I recommend Ask.com. While smaller, it is smarter and more sophisticated. It also has more tools than Google like a dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia, weather search, movie review engine, celebrity search, currency conversion chart, unit conversion chart, and so much more, and to access them, all you have to do is type its name in the search box. I have Ask.com as my search default and it has not disappointed me yet and not to mention its weather search is almost 100% accurate! Try it.

In IE7:
Click on the down-arrow next to the search box (top right). The select "change search defaults." Fron there you can add search providers (or download them from Microsoft - there is a link on that screen that takes you there) and set the default to Google.
This is why Terry Semel stepped down recently - too many people deserting to Google :( Maybe you want to stay with Yahoo for a while. They are pretty good.
