Hmm...
A garden would be fed, watered and adored every day by whoever owned it, growing moderately, lush and green; someone with an eye for tamed beauty would go with the garden.
An orchard would be pruned and grown to its owners desire, producing fruit and other such vegetation; I suppose a more practical person would want to be an orchard.
A forest is left to grow on its own, never fearing pruning, growing as dense and thick as it likes.
All three could home creatures - spiders, snakes, squirrels, even raccoons - and all three are considered beautiful by some, or boring by others.
I've seen so far that people are saying forest. While forests are much more beautiful and alluring than the other two, and owned indirectly - not in the direct ownership, really, of anyone who could drastically change it - and while it homes likewise mysterious creatures, it also faces fear of extinction that a garden or orchard wouldn't have to worry about: like forest fires, or deforestation.
All things considered, though, I guess I'd rather be a forest as well. A large amount of my daily time is spent there, and I've fallen in love with the trees. ~^^~

A garden. A forest is too large and I don't want people to wander around for days. In a orchard you can be picked on and thrown out. In a garden one can breathe the sweet smell of life. It's quiet and peaceful.

A redwood forest. Ancient, spiritual, serene, profound. Being in a redwood forest, (especially totally alone on a moonlit night is something like being in a vaulted cathedral.) The girth & height of redwoods--awesome. So silent, but I can feel their energy & the flow of their wisdom. They have a sense of strength & stability never found in a garden or an orchard, both subject to the whims of their caretakers, or the weather.Gardens & orchards can be delightful, but they are seasonally transient, & dependent. Fortunately, most redwood forests are protected from the harsh & brutal blade of a lumber company. One of the things that saddens me most, is to see a tree fallen for the convenience of some enterprise or other. It is like killing, to me. I could be a forest, or dwell in a forest forever.

A forest. Because no one would be able to hear the tree that fell, if I had anything to do with it, and as the forest, I would. And, I would finally be able to find out if a bear ***** in the woods.
On the other hand, I don't want to know that.
Orchard's people tell you what to do and just keep picking at you. I don't like that.
O.K. Not a vegetable garden, but a flower garden, because then I'll be elegant and taken care of....I hope. At least there won't be any bears I have to worry about mistaking me for a tree.

Tempted by the orchard, with thoughts of blossoms in season and kids stealing fruit. As a forest I'd be happily in peace and quietness - but expecting the wood-chippers, clear-felling. As a garden somebody would always be digging me up, or heaping manure on me, or spraying the caterpillars - people just can't leave gardens alone.

I like the forest.
To me, the forest is the epitome of graceful timelessness and wisdom
It was there when we were born, and will continue to be there long after we depart.
Its citizens of stately warriors clad in green armory
Stood guard over the earth in decades and centuries of loyal dedication
Presiding over history in dignified, majestic silence
Crying over the fates of those who tumbled before humanity’s destructive blades
Where gardens and orchards are forever plagued with prying, meddlesome hands
The forest forever remains in pure, sacred reverence…
Sigh. If only people are just as noble…

A garden. It is quiet and quaint. An orchard and Forest seem to busy to me. I want an occasional bunny or lady bug not a whole gang of bugs and bears.

A forest. Closest to my true existance. Gardens need tending and can suffer from neglect. Orchards are similar. Forests are self-sustaining. They only need the winds and rains from God to keep themselves in good shape. Yet they provide sustance, beauty and pleasure for so many. My life is like that. I depend only on myself and God, who never fails to provide my needs, and because of his providence, I am able to share and give to others from what I have received.
Nice question.

We are all gardens. Welcome to our garden of life.
People have much in common with plants in our garden of life - give us sunlight, water, tender consistent care and we flourish. Life grows as a bounty of beautiful flowers and fruitful trees. When we water our fruitful trees, our garden grows in ways which cultivates joyful life.
We are all gardens whether we grow in orchards, forests, glades, or pots Whether we are cultivated, random, wild, or entropic & unabated in our environments. What we choose is life, but not always do we have the luxury of choosing where. Location is merely random, but real, consistent growth is the stuff from which all life sprouts substance & meaning. Every forest, pot, orchard or glade is but a garden of a different location.
