Because they have been brought up that way.

Basically, the teens of todays' parents lived in the 80s or 70s, and their parents (who grew up in the 50s/ 60s, had tough parents, so were lenient on their kids) were easy and they got into a little trouble/ were bad asses. They went two ways: they A) matured out of it of B) stayed that way. If they matured and realized they had been too rowdy, then they turned into strict parents to prevent their kids from making the same mistakes, so in turn the kids get rebellious from pressure or have mental breakdowns. If they never grew out of that age, then they probably never cared about their kids anyway or set a terrible example for them.

Or it could just be teenagers being teenagers.

Go watch The Breakfast Club.

Barney??? Nice joke......anyways......the real answer deals with their parents and what's being exposed on television. Music also seems to play a big role in teenager's lives now-a-days......and the music being produced now is a bunch of rotting diapers. But the parents are the core to their kid's future......and they seem to be doing a poor job as of late. :(

With all the madness in the world today, what I'm wondering is why aren't adults so full of anger these days? You guys act like nothings up and eveythings all right, it's not!

I think it's because they don't have any heroes. When we were young, we had people on TV, in the news, and on our streets who were truly heroic and someone to look up to. There isn't anyone today, just celebrities and businessmen who don't have any ethics.

I wonder why people talk about the 'troubled youth of today'

The way people are are comprised of genes and experiences, which came from the LAST generation.

More sex on tv is making them insecure physically and toxins in fast food make them sluggish and violent.
