As you know, in the year 2000, Dick Cheney changed his State citizenship from Texas to Wyoming in order to run with George W Bush.

It's a Constitutional provision. The Founders did not want a clique taking over the country.

Dick Cheney was living in Texas at the start of the 2000 campaign. He reregistered in Wyoming so he could Constitutionally serve as VP.

There is no rule of law that says they can't be from the same state. It is usually a political move to try to get more people to vote for the party, they may not like the person running for president but like the V.P candidate on the ticket or vice versa. There are a lot of advisers that help select a running mate, not just the presidential candidate.

Its in the consitution that they aren't allowed to be residents of the same state. Of course, Cheney lying about whewre he lived was simply the first lie of the Bush administration, should had clued people to what these cretins were about.

According to what documentation can they not? I would imagine they typically aren't because it's the easiest way to appeal to two states right out of the gate. Come to think of it, I can't think of two candidates from one party that hale from the same state.

Yes, and if it had the Dem's the GOP would have had a kitten, I don't know why accept it has to do the electoral college
