Save for representative Ron Paul, do you believe that the other presidential candidates are motivated by the Almighty $$$$ & power for social status sake? I mean with all the $social$issues$, $pro$anti$issues$, $tobacco$tax$politicking$, $petroleum$tax$bilking$, $$$global$$$warming$$$tax$$$scheme$$$ & a host of other $tax$schemes$, is it possibly that the $repubie$demo$party$ has been bought off for what ever reasons? Has ANYONE ever thought that corruption in THE party is rampant? I can understand "addiction" to a chemical regarding people in general, BUT, an "addiction" to a group of politicians(magicians!)??? I mean these "magicians" have this country split & folks at each others throats. Anybody else noticing the above mentioned seems to be proliferating with in THE party?

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHA

Did you expect this to be any different then any other country once the people stop caring and stop holding the government accountable??

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA

Come on BOBO, people in tis country are in the apathetic stage of a country's life cycle. They have already gone through the other 6 phases. No one cares any more - they all have the "you cannot fight city hall" syndrom.

The moment they figured out they could vote for anything they want out of their government - the game was over - now they all grease the skids to be sure they recieve what they are loooking for.

The baby that cries the loudest will get fed first. Here in this country the business people - the ones with the money - cry the loudest - who do you think is going to get what they want - government offcials know that they cant bite the hands that feed them

Can we change all this - sure we can - government will feed their baby just like any other nanny - all we have to do is start cryig louder then the business people

If you dont think it will work - look at the grassroots pushes happening for Ron Paul - this shoudl tell you two things
1. people are ready for a change
2. grassroots politics really works

Need more proof it works - go see downsizedc.org - they run grassroots campaigns on legislation all the time - they may not succeed all the time but they get things stopped - they were a major factor in the contacting of the senate and house on the immigration bill last week - you really want to see it work on a extraordinary scale - have everyone join downsizedc and turn them into a lobbying firm for the little guy so that we are on equal par with all the rich folks - that would surely trip congress's trigger

It's great you support Ron Paul for President. But DO accept that he is just as wealthy and savvy a businessman as all the other candidates. In other words, you don't get wealthy enough to run for President by being above board honest.

Logically, it's a sad given that anyone elected as US President will likely engage in some form of corrupted political activity--we just have to pray and hope such politics do NOT hurt us--the little guy.

I've listened to the actual sincere belief of wealthy politicians that there IS a need to financially divide Americans between THEM (wealthy bureaucrats) and US (the little guy)!!!

Hey, the candidate talk is sweet and good.......AND WORTHLESS. Go with your best judgment and vote responsibly. God knows America can't take another four year term of Presidential INEPTNESS.

I have a different view. I believe that people get into politics because they think that they can do something for the country. They get into running for President for the same reason. They have opinion and they believe that their opinion is the best for the country. Now - it takes a lot of money (including their own) to run for a nomination much less President. They have to kiss a lot of butts and make promises to get the money. But the question is the motivation. And while egos are a part of it, I think that it is because they know that they can help the country.

M-O-N-E-Y, and money only. They figure that if they can BS the voters, that the voters won't research their voting patterns - and they may be right. I haven't met too many smart consumers for government services these days. Hell, they don't even know what the US Constitution says and what rights it affords each and every American. Why should they be trusted to make good choices for president, senator, and HR Representatives? Its unfortunate that we actually trust people (with a reading level of an 8th grader) to vote and make choices that affect each and every one of us for a long time to come?

Thats the way our system is set up. You may have an issue about something and you will send $ to those politicians who believe in your cause and I could hold the opposite view and send $ to my politicians.
