Directional and Emergency Flasher problem on my 1998 ford Taurus.Muli switch was replaced and still no work.?

What can I do to fix the problem.The thing is sometimes they work and sometimes they dont.The new switch did not help.Could it possibly be the flasher switch?

Take the flasher switch and wiggle it and see if the lights will flash once or twice. I just had a 95 explorer with the same problem. It was the flasher switch with dirty contacts.

need more detail.............just doesn't work,light,s but doesn't flash,flasher work,s but intermittent signal,.......please describe exactly what it is or isn't doing.
