No, I thought the whole thing was suitably naff.
I saw Bryan Ferry surrounded by under weight, over made up girls in ridiculous couture.
Very Diana.
Some ghastly musical songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Very Diana.
Rod Stewart trying to make it edgy by kicking footballs into the crowd. Oooh! Very Diana.
And poor old Sir Elton having his act cut short by protocol. Very Diana.
Oh yes, P. Diddy, or what ever his called this week, getting real or smaltzy with his lyrics for the American audience. Very Diana.
What a legacy!
I just hope they do something sensible with the money.
The only joy was there was no Bono, Bob Geldolf or Tony Blair. Always look on the bright side!

It sounds to me like a good excuse for yet another freebie piss up for the Princes, as I understand that they are not shelling out for the £50,00 post concert party. Some other poor sod is lumbered with the bill, because Buck House won't pay up because they disapprove of the whole thing. I think they are right but I pity Johnny Roxburgh who, allegedly has been lumbered with the bill. Still, what's new? The princes have clocked up a pretty good reputation for drinking thousands of pounds worth of booze at someone else's expense. They are both despicable.

Interestingly enough, the most gushing & grovelling was done by non-British acts. Maybe it was a bit over the top but look at the amount of money it raised for her favourite charities. No matter what your opinion of it is you can't fault the result.

I wont disagree with you about it being tacky in place's and after all what else would these load of has beens been doing on a Sunday afternoon ? But i didn't think it was all bad, one or two acts were nice to see, and lets face it, if that's what her sons wanted to do in memory of their mum, who are we to disagree ? i wonder though who's picking up the tab for it ?

Perhaps, but I think Diana would have enjoyed all the hoopla. If that's tacky, so be it. I do wonder though where were Papa and the Rottweiler while all this was going on?

i hope that this concert was the final thing for the princess- i think they need to let her rest in peace...it has been ten years, and even though for some people, the concert may have been FAB , i didnt think the concert was all that- from what i saw of it, natasha beddingfield sounded crap and will youngs song was pointless and i mean, what was the need for runway models when that old guy was singing?!?!?!
