Is the GTO faster with or without the traction control on??

Ive been reading on some sites about people who race their 04 - 06 GTO's and Im getting the impression that the car is faster if you turn OFF the traction control. Is that true??

Yes, it's true.

You get the most acceleration by dancing between grip and being on the verge of losing traction. In fact, some cars accelerate better with a small amount of tire spin.

Traction control is designed for stability in rain or snow, not for acceleration. So yes, turn off the t/c and heat the tires a bit, your faster!
