No the females are not allowed to marry..It originally was a female tennis player who conjured up the word 'love' in tennis and since there has been very little 'love' proven to be true in tennis matches ie 'Lleyton Hewitt' /Kim Clijsters Jimmy Connors/Chris Evert the official organizers have decided to keep the word 'love' in the game but punish all female tennis players for actually making the word 'love' up.To balance things out they did allow a female (Renee Richards) to play for a short time as a post operative man and also allow Amelie Maresmo to look stronger and more powerful than a man on court- so it has to be said that all is fair in 'love & tennis..'.

High School? I think he could probably beat any professional female OUTSIDE the top 30. Other than that i don't know- remeber power isn't everything and some professional female players are used to playing with males especially in Mixed Doubles

Of course not!! No husband in his right mind would stand to see his wife on court in a mini dress with the photographers all trying to take photos up her skirt. Then there are all the nice people in forums like these who make choice and delicate comments about "mingers" and hot stuff etc etc. The WTA absolutely prohibits the female tennis players from marrying while they play the circuit. Too many irate husbands would be trying to sue the WTA. So all female tennis players have to take a vow of celibacy and chastity. There is talk of getting them to play in a burka next year. Wimbledon officials have already said that they won't object as long as it is white.

Certainly. One recent example is Justine Henin, currently world no. 1. She was prior to her recent divorce, Justine Henin-Hardenne. In terms of legendary players, the dominant Margaret Smith, went by Margaret Smith-Court later on in her career, while Chris Evert married fellow tennis player John Lloyd and went by Chris Evert-Lloyd. Some players changed their surnames altogether - one example being retired doubles specialist Larisa Neiland.

Yes of course, just because they are professional tennis players doesn't mean they aren't just like everyone else. Henin's been married plus loads of others
