Pretty darn important.
It may be evidence that the person is prejudiced, expecting a certain outcome without all the facts. That one might take inappropriate action(s). Persons who jump to a conclusion may not be responsive to other people's opinions, or may be poor listeners. People who do that a lot are irritating, if not dangerous.

There is a huge difference between to Jumping To Conclusions and making a quick decision.

You wish to Jump to conclusions which means that you have no facts but you only assume as it appears to be.

1 = *** u me
2 = people will not trust you
3 = you will appear ignorant and foolish
4 = and eventually lose every friend you ever had.

Would like to have this question rephrased so that I can give you a better answer. "Jumping to Conclusions," the phrase itself, is a derogatory phrase. At least it is to me. It implies you were wrong.

In general, jumping to conclusions is important, because it is a part of building intuition which can make you smarter. The more conclusions you try to derive, and hopefully get correct, "the greater the trust you will have in your abilities and capabilities."

I always jump to the conclusion because I see things before I can prove them but always verify. So many times it makes a major difference if you know the answer and your proof doesn't work you know you didn't prove it correctly.

VERY important in a life or death matter with only 5 seconds to decide and there is no time to weigh the pros and cons. (lol)
