i do respect my elders very much this was not a question to be hateful.. i find them to be great as i said i could spend the day with an elder and never be bored or annoyed

Oh yes.. i think so too..
My late grandma was so funny...
She once sat in the hall and said.."why is my bed so short?"
Another time, she finished her lunch and asked what time will we serve breakfast...
Everyday...she nods off in the lawn chair from morning till noon but complains she doesnt get enough sleep...
She loves rattling of old tales about those days..but mixes up names...
Ahhh..got to love oldies...i miss her..

I am respectful of my elders, yes. But they are hilarious!! It's so funny to listen to them talk about how they can't figure out their technology, and the other things they talk about! Haha! One time I was watching America's Funniest Home Videos, and it was showing clips of old people falling down! They'd be sitting on swings, benches, jumping on trampolines, swinging benches..and they'd always fall down! Or else whatever they were on would break! ahahahaha!

thanks for not bashing the elderly. i DID read the details first. i wanted to answer that yes, some are. like my granny... 90 years old, full of cheer and has a few "new" old jokes every time i see her. she got me on this not long ago:
"we seniors went on a bus trip thru Ohio. we stopped in a little town called Engagement!"
ME: "where's that, grandma?"
HER:" halfway between Dayton and Marion!!!"
get it? funny stuff if ya do!

i'm going to school to be a geri-psych nurse. i love old people. especially the ones that are still married and have been married since the beginning of time, practically, but have found that "new love" for each other. they are the cutest.

They can be so funny sometimes! But there are always the cranky old people, like my dad... I don't want to listen to him all day, but he can be funny when he wants to be.

I agree.... they are adorable. I love their stories of the good ol' days!
That is why I loved the line of work I was in... Note.. I said LOVED.... (Miss it!)
