Democrats don't care about winning the war . . . all they care about is POWER. Look how they're using the war for political gain . . . shameless.
So to answer your question, Americans should NEVER trust Democrats when it comes to seeing through an armed conflict, and thus have ZERO credibility on the world stage when it comes to diplomacy with a hostile adversary.

Well, it's mighty hard for the Republicans to point fingers when they haven't done the job themselves. Bush's War has caused Al Queda to triple its size and they continue building camps and networks all over the Middle East while we remain bogged down in Baghdad.
The Democratic candidate I support realizes this very well. They want to force the Iraqis to solve their political problem so we can disengage from policing this civil war and get back to doing what we should have kept doing from the beginning - REALLY go after Al Queda where they're setting up shop and help NATO deal with the Taliban's foothold in Afghanistan, which is getting stronger every day. They also realize we must maintain a presence in Iraq to help guard the borders, deal with Al Queda specifically, and keep Iran from attempting to take over.
All I hear from Republicans is how the Democrats will be soft on terror. But that is not what I'm hearing from the Democrat candidates themselves. Wanting to get us out of this civil war can actually be separated from also wanting to go after the terrorists. It's clear that Republicans have no concept of this, because they sure haven't offered such a view as viable. Instead, they insist on staying the course, whatever the hell that is supposed to mean in these days of chaos. They insist on taking the strange tactic of labeling others ideas as lacking in courage. As though to stay a failing course is showing any type of courage and intelligence at all. Sorry, but to me the Democratic candidates have a lot better handle on the fact that if we're going to do something about terrorism, we actually have to turn our full attention to it.

The surge will never work just as the numerous changes in strategy have not worked. We've been training Iraqi forces and Iraqi forces cannot muster the willpower to hold off enemies coming from various places because it is a civil war despite your political leanings. Even if we're able to pacify the problem between the various factions it will only be temporary. Success in war cannot be measured and that is the principal problem with the strategies of this administration. You cannot definitively say you've won in a war such as this.
We must leave because this war will never be won and at the current policy we will be there indefinitely. If we are there indefinitely we will end-up having bases there indefinitely which will inspire the crimes which we are attempting to prevent. George Bush Sr. understood the reasons we can't stay there but George W. Bush can't, why is this? Read up on your history.
Vote Democrat!

Well, Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror, even though the Bush administration would like you to believe otherwise. Look here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A47812-2004Jun16.html. Iraq had not attacked the US, or aided Al Qaeda, I don't see how that is part of the war on terror. Before a country goes to war, it's government should be sure that the justification for going to war is true. That is why liberals want the troops to withdraw from Iraq.
I think that is reasonable logic, but I guess you don't.

Wow, a link to Faux News. Must be true.
Are we talking about Iraq, or the war on terror? Those are separate conflicts. We went into Iraq because of lies about chemical weapons and mushroom clouds and phantom links to Al Qaeda. We went into Afghanistan to find Osama Bin Laden, the man actually responsible for 9/11.
You cannot blur those two conflicts and remain credible.

We can't trust Democrats to defeat the terrorists. But Bush has made so many devious, plainly stupid and unlawful moves that we know we can't trust him.
The Iraqis have to defend their own country. Unfortunately there is no "country" of Iraq to defend. The Iraqi soldiers joined up because there were no jobs, not because they cared for a country. Iraq is nothing more than divergent religious groups that hate each other.

Why do you mistake courage with with foolishness. If we were there !00 years we still wouldn't win. If we put in 1,000,000 troops we still wouldn't win. This is a RELIGIOUS war. It's been going on for 1,000 years. It will be going on 1,000 years from now and we need to get the heck out of the middle of it.

well after what the republicans did that prevented clinton from implementing many of his anti-terror proposals, which enabled 9/11 to occur, we sure can't trust them on national security. They were more concerned about clinton and his BJ, before 9/11, like they were more concerned about Saddam after 9/11.
and how many troops, and how much time, will it take to convince a majority of Iraqies, who don't want to fight for their own freedom to do so??

America does NOT trust Liberals. They are so quick to point out that President Bush's approval ratings are REALLY low. Well, they should be, with him trying to put a bunch of Ted Kennedy crap on us.
But Congress's approval rating is the lowest in history! This Congress, the one that claimed it was going to be the most ethical in history. Yuck yuck. Well, guess what? President Bush is not up for re-election next year, but Congress is!
I think there are going to be a lot of TV shows next November trying to analyze what it was that happened during the general election. I think a lot of Senators and Representatives will be packing their bags (figuratively, you know they never leave Washington and go back home again).

This War on terror is bogus. We're not in any more danger than before 9/11--the only reason we may have more enemies is because of the ones made during these latest wars. If you truly believe in Reagan's ideologies, you'd know that he is supposed to represent the side that doesn't trust big government.
