There is a proposal to demolish the place and construct a new PBA (Phil. Basketbal Association) venue, any sentiments?
Its been a part of our childhood memories , but does it matter?

Don't worry, the zoo will not go anywhere..I saw the interview with Mayor Fred Lim and he said he wouldn't do anything with the zoo. We should preserve it because it's a landmark alreasy. That's what he said.

Yes, Manila Zoo is still operating, but it is not very well kept. There have been suggestions to transferring the zoo to a another, bigger location for many years now but the idea has not been pushed through.

It matters. Its been a part of my childhood days too and how can the new generation learn to value/appreciate animals if they only watch it over the TV. Where will the poor family go when they want to relax without spending much? And how they can replace it with a basketball venue where many sports complex where built nowadays?.. just a thought, hoping to consider.

It does matter to me. Because when I was a child I'd love to go there and there I've seen a lots of animals.
Even now at my age, I want to still go there but because of my busy schedule I can't find time to go there. I want to see the new Manila Zoo and I want to see the transformation done because it so long ago when I last went there.

an animal's place should be in the wilderness where they belong. i really don't believe in caging animals but i would want the zoo converted into a green oasis in congested manila. making it into a pba venue would only snarl traffic in an already clogged streets of manila.

I don't know the zoo you are talking about but I think they are destroying our past, a lot of times it is for a parking lot. You have to value the past, present and future, you need all three to a point but like everything you can take it to far.

They cant do that,,LIM is now the mayor..he is more intelligent than Atienza..He just opened the Avenida which Atienza closed to traffic..He just opened that Arroceros Park which Atienza closed to public..
Soon, he will prohibit selling and drinking of liqour in Baywalk..
Lim is pro people and pro poor..Atienza is pro businessmen..pro rich..
