Favortie soundtrack cut is "Part of your World (Reprise)" from Little Mermaid.

One of my very fav soundtracks is Lost Boys, from the vampire comedy with "the Coreys" and Kiefer Sutherland in it. It was a silly movie but it had its moments of quality with good actors and the Dodge car guy was the evil head vampire!

This is the most in-sync movie-soundtrack offering I have ever experienced, where the music doesn't exactly retell the story but supports it perfectly and captures all the unique and weird moods from scene to scene. I always like INXS and they were in on the soundtrack. Plus all the music was ooky spooky and well done while still being easy to digest and unserious. I thought Oingo Boingo did a great job with their remake of the Doors' People are Strange.

I like a few other different songs, I loved the whole INXS album Kick, as well as C+C Music Factory, and Dexy's Midnight Runners. I liked all the throwbacks from the other decades, such as Smokey Robinson's solo work, and the way Police and Phil Collins/Genesis kept moving through the 80s. And pop metal? Awesome! Much more friendly metal and some of the best looking rockstars ever. I have always liked pretty complicated music (my fav group is Yes) but I found that I enjoyed 80's tunes, they weren't exactly brain candy but as ear candy it kicked ass, and that was enough. The styles were all over the place and it was a lot of fun.

My fav video? Take on Me by A-Ha. So creative and so well done with the animation and live action.

There's a lot of good 80s songs out there, and movies for that matter. But I'll have to stick with "Dream A Little Dream"--botht the movie and the song. I don't think it's that well known, it wasn't a blockbuster or anything....but it was an EXCELLENT movie and the songs vary so much it's great!

hmmm...I would have to say in the 80's anything from Journey, and I still love Steve Perry... As for soundtracks, the Officer and A gentlemen soundtrack, or Rocky soundtrack, Eye of the Tiger was huge back then

"American Beat '84" by my favorite band, Brooklyn's kings of super rock, The Fleshtones; it ran in the end credits as the theme to Tom Hanks' first major feature film ... "Bachelor Party." It's a 1984 re-recording of their first single, from 1978. It's also my personal national anthem (when I do community radio, it's what I use to start my show), and I think you can guess I'm pretty fond of the song ...

That said, I have four other favorite movie songs from the '80s:

* "Into the Groove," my favorite Madonna song, from the Danceteria crowd scene in "Desperately Seeking Susan."

* "Eighties" by Killing Joke, used in the big living room party scene in "Weird Science."

* Two posthumously released Buddy Holly songs played by another of my favorites, Marshall Crenshaw. He and his band played "Peggy Sue Got Married" at the high school reunion at the beginning of the Kathleen Turner/Nic Cage film of the same name; and he did "Crying, Waiting, Hoping" while playing Holly at the fateful Winter Dance Party in Iowa in "La Bamba."

If You Leave by OMD, from the end of Pretty in Pink. I HATED how the movie ended, but the song was just perfect!
