A Homeopathic Dr, is still an "M.D.", they have to pass the same tests as any "M.D.", the type of practice that they run does have some validity to it. Any other Dr. will still respect them as an equal, and an "M.D." ! He can perform "Emergency Medicine" in the "E.R." with the best of them, he's not going to rub Herbs on their forehead's to stop the bleeding, he's going to do it the same as ANY other "E.R." Dr. would.

Accreditation is a very complicated process. The homeopathic schools (and the osteopathic for that matter) must still demonstrate that they've got the basic science courses, the upper level courses, the qualified instructors, and the availability of hospitals where students can do their residencies and so on. It's a HUGE check list and every detail must be met. I looked at an accreditation "package" (like an application) once and it was a foot thick.

If you look carefully at what they are accredited for you see that they slither through loopholes and have no real validity to their accreditation.

They pay for it. Accredidation doesn't mean much these days.
