Teams like LAL, LAC, SEA, and GS would all be Championship contenders in the East but instead will be fighiting for the Last playoffs spot in the West. CHI and CLE will be the 2 best eastern teams next year and if they were in the west one of those wouldn't be in the playoffs.

My prodiction for next year

Western Confrence Finals - DAL vs. SA Winner - DAL

Eastern Confrence Finals - CHI vs. CLE Winner - CLE

NBA Finals - DAL wins 4-0

Whoever wins the WC Finals automaticly wins the NBA Title

I dont think the west is ruining BBall, its hard enough for them as it is. western teams beat each other to a freakin pulp while the sorry east teams frolic through the season. No wonder Kobe wants to go east coz he can take a team of retarded ducks, make the playoffs and even make a deep run. the only decent team left in the east is the Cavs and thats LBJ only, every one on that team sucks. Chi is still too young and Miami heat should be moved to the Jeriatric ward of miami central hospital. I know for sure GS and Lakers (with a lil sanity) would be better than any team in the east.

Personally I think they should do away with the conferences and let all the teams duke it out. This way no one get screwed or gets a free ride for being on the good or the crappy conference.......

As for that perdiction, I'll buy you a beer if it comes true.......

No. If you look at the stats, the last four years' championships are shared by three teams: Detroit, Miami and San Antonio. The facts don't lie. Although sometimes the East may seem weak it doesn't affect the balance in the finals outcome. Its just that this years Finals featured a very battle-tested team against a raw and young team. If the Pistons made it to the Finals I think many would come to see the games since the Spurs and the Pistons are ranked 1-2 in defense and can cancel each other and may have been a rematch of the Finals 2005.

im pretty sure the last 4 championships were split in half. Detroit and Miami won. Nothing is automatic in sports man come on now. Why do you care about ratings u work for ABC? The East will have 1 or 2 great teams every year so dont worry about the competition. The whole western conference doesnt compete against the whole eastern conference. Team are gettin better now and this draft was sick so im exciting so yeah

You know, the same kind of thing was said in the '80s. That whoever won the West was going to win the NBA title because the East was not as strong. Then, in the '90s, it was said that whoever won the East was going to win the NBA title because the West was so weak. Things change. That's the way of all sports. If they went by what was on paper, they wouldn't play the games.

Only when SA plays in the finals the ratings are low. Their my team, but people don't like them. Too boring for people whose teams already got knocked out.

The west will keep dominating unless they slow down which won't happen soon with teams like the spurs, mavs, warriors, and more.
