I have tried everything! I am pretty computer savy and I am well aware that I am the computer administrator, but the error keeps telling me that I do not meet this "requirement." I know very little about Vista in particular, but I am very familiar with all other Windows operating systems, and the program runs fine on Windows XP. Please tell me if you have any ideas about what might be causing this problem.

Well, you need to check for an updated driver for Vista. Go to the printer manf. website and see if they have one.

This has been a really big issue for Vista users. Many of the things that work great in XP dont have VISTA drivers.

Sounds like a driver error, I mean you may not have the right drivers. I do strongly suggest you visit the manufacturer's website " your printers manufacture" and look under the support or the download section and download the latest drivers. Some manufactures have auto deduct feature on their website, where you would have to install their software and automatically gives you the latest drivers and of course except for windows vista that feature is not supported yet.

Vista is a mess, it doesn't support our printers and printer software, you will have to go your printer website and see if you can get the drivers, their motto is an old driver is better than no driver. I have an HP 7350 and couldn't get it to install the software, I went to the hp printer site and they directed me to install the 5550 printer driver and that worked. Anything you try to install on Vista is going to have some kind of problem, drivers and software won't work, be prepared to visit a lot of websites.

Go to the manufacturer's site (for the printer) and download the vista driver for the printer and that should do the trick.

good luck

You probably have to download the drivers. Just google the type of printer and drivers. I had to do this with my last printer.
