Because it looks like a hook, kinda sorta. I look for that quality in a punctuation mark. It means everything to me. Soul stirring question, really!

I think people in general should be question marks because they are so unpredictable. Always having questions, rarely having answers. It takes a great deal of time to get to know ones self, and until you do you are but a ? (I personally am a period)

I've always felt an affinity for the semi-colon; you know I'll come up with something sort of related to the topic at hand, but you have no idea what direction it might go.
