What do you think of the Cuba's government run health care after looking at these pictures of their wonderful facilities? I'll bet you can't wait for this to come to your neighborhood.

There are only 946 legimate billionaires in the world. 400 of them are in the United States and their combined weath will not fund a government run health care system for 1 year. After than, it's put on the back of the workers. Get your facts straight before posting nonsense.

right you are ken:
Watch the Larry King interview on CNN. He boosts that the Cuban's only spend $25.00 a year on health care. Look what they get!!!!
TheMetallian:
Oh, what's this? I didn't get this from Fox News? No, Larry King is on CNN. When someone has no legimate argument, they always throw out the Fox News argument. How trite!!!

Good name. Anyway, when Michael Moore "cherry picks" his facts, that's well researched, correct? Anyone posting an opposing view is failing to do their research. How unoriginal.

I've already read the benefits of socialized health care. I posted that link for a purpose. Michael Moore takes what could potentially be a decent documentary and hand picks which facts he'll present. The most significant issue with government managed health care is that it will reduce quality for all. I've been in government run health care systems (both the VA and the military medical system). Imagine the people at your local DMV running the clinic. Not a pretty picture but that's what it feels like and the care is not all that good.

I can't believe people are apologizing for Cuba here! "Their facilities are substandard because they are poor, and they're poor because of our embargo!" Um... most of the world doesn't have an embargo against them, and DO trade with them. They're poor because of policies like these.
I would ask that those of you saying we would have better results because we're more wealthy to understand that. Because if we pick up on socialized medicine, we won't be wealthy anymore.

Michael Moore is in favor of Socialized medicine.
Ask a Canadian and the Brits just how well that works.
Canada, for example, has a 125% income tax rate, a Value
Added Tax, that is placed on products at every level of
distribution, just to pay for there medical care.
Is that what you want?
Certainly our medical care system needs to be fixed, but
not that way.
By the way, I have no idea how to fix it at this time.

If I remember rightly the life expectancy in Cuba is about the same as in the US which has probably not too much to do with the somewhat backward medical facilities as the fact that the Cubans have a healthier and simpler life style without all the poisonous chemicals you use in processing food in the US.

I think of the facilities the same as I think of that blood sucker M. Moore and you can throw in that twit from Canada , but it can't be said in mixed company , just consider it to be in the lowest regions of the universe. (It's a shame , Canada is really a great country , we all have rotten ones )

Michael Moore is a moron and his new movie, "Sicko", is calling attention to a politically hot issue these days. He does these kind of mock-umentaries because he can make loads of money from them. Ignorance is his audience. Don't go see this movie, don't waste you breath talking about it; and don't give him or his work the time of day. By doing so, he becomes richer, bigger and fatter.

Michael Moore is one of the coolest Americans ever.
I think if M.M. says Cuba has a better health care system, then he's right. I'll have to see his new film.
Cuba's cool. It's one of those few places in the world where you can hang out and not worry about loud Americans holidaying. So much for American "freedom"! Ha! Americans can't freely go to Cuba.
Thank you from Canada.

OK, let's separate the facts from the fiction. Cuba is communist and run by a dictator. Were you expecting the Mayo clinic? Moore didn't go to Cuba, he went to Gitmo and the Cubans kept denying him entry into their waters. He was finally given permission after assuring them he wanted to go to Gitmo and not Cuba. The detainees held in Gitmo receive courtesy of our government, translated, our tax dollars, complete free health care, eye, dental, everything. He brought 9/11 first responders with health problems to Gitmo to see if our government would help them free of charge, they wouldn't. It's not about Moore or Cuba. It's about health care for all Americans. If France can make it work, why can't we?

Michael Moore is an idiot. I still dont understand how his movies are labeled documentaries. Doesn't your movie have to be truthful?

Go ahead and complain about free medical coverage. It's better than the outrageous sums of money we pay for it.
Oh yeah, please make sure you only get your "facts" from the farthest right of sources. Sources that make Glenn Beck look like a liberal.
If you bothered to do your own research I'd allow you to bend whatever facts you feel like falsifying.
