The Original is definitely the best. The special effects on the new one is very good. But Gene Wilder is Willie Wonka. That movie is more about the friendship of the family and their son who won the golden ticket. It was also about the good of human nature. And who couldn't help but to love a little orange Oompa. They really need to stop remaking the old classics.

The truth is, I am crazy about Johnny Depp. But, for the life of me, I cannot bring myself to watch him in the role of Willy Wonka. I am also crazy about the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I saw no reason to redo such an awesome movie. Summed up........give me the original. Gene Wilder is Willy Wonka!

The original Willy Wonka, though the second is closer to the book and I like the book.

The original. As much as I loved Johnney Depp, Gene Wilder was born to play Mr. Wonka. I remember believing everything he said throughout the movie when I was a kid.

I like the original with Gene Wilder. Johnny Depp looks like a Michael Jackson impersonator.

I liked both of them. Most people I know hated the 2nd one w/ a passion but I didn't think it was half bad. But the first is and always be a classic. So if I had to choose it would be the first one.

I think the original was better. Gene Wilder was just awesome in it! They're both good, but IMO the original was better.

THE NEW!!!!!!
3 reasons:
1) I LOVE Johnny depp
2) The oompa loompas in the original are FREAKY!!!! EEEK with their white eyebrows and orange skin and green hair! When i was little and i saw them i started to cry!!
3) the new one was actually FUNNY!
