Their are so many AL outfielders with better stats then him in almost every category yet he is still in. I think Sheffield should be in even though he is a DH now and Granderson def should be in over Manny. Just look at stats for AL outfielders and Manny really isnt near the top in anything.

Ok Saint take it easy it was a damn question no need for you to get all pissed about it. Jeter would be in regardless whether he started or not the fans did not vote Manny and i think players overlooked other people cause they didnt want to take the time to get it right.

Don't worry. Manny always learns that some relative is sick a day or two before the All Star game. Maybe they will replace him with Kevin Youkilis, who deserves to be there more than Manny or Papi

the question of who deserves it is always up in the air, because there are so many players who have played great and really deserve the spot.
but alas, the entire all-star game is just a popularity contest, so even if derek jeter or alex rodriguez were hitting .100, they'd still be in.
overall, i don't think manny does. there's so many players that have had great seasons and really do deserve it.

I don't think he should be in it too. he has not having a good hitting season like other outfielders that didn't make it and he plays the weakest spot in the field left field, He shouldn't be in the all star game

Whether he deserves it or not it's the fans who make the choice. I think it's time to let managers make the picks for who plays in the all star game.
