I'll never forget it.
The church I was attending MANY years ago decided to have a church-wide 3 day fast (nobody eats for 3 days). They wanted something easy to eat to break the fast. They knew what a great cook good ole Tockers was so they asked if I'd make up a big 22 quart pot of chicken noodle soup.
So....I buy and boil the chicken. Picked it all off the bone. I even made my own flour/egg noodles for it. It was fantastic. It smelled wonderful all through the service we had for an hour before the meal. Just before it was time to serve, I turned it up some to bring it to one last boil. One of the old church ladies came in and asked me to help her bring in something out of her car. I left the soup to boil.
Well...just that quick, as I should have been stirring it, the bottom of that pot burned the soup. You can't repair a charred taste like that. The whole pot was just ruined. The woman thanked me sweetly for helping her. Under my breath I told her to go to Hell, right there in the church kitchen....hahaha
Here were about 75 starving people who hadn't eaten a thing for 3 days. What did I have to give them? Burned soup.
It was just awful. Everybody was real nice, but no one asked for seconds. hahahaha

OMG.
I admit that I can't cook and my latest and worst cooking blunder was when I tried to make fried Udon for lunch. I had the noodles, marinated chicken (bought from Cold Storage) and the garlic, chillies and oil ready. I threw in the choppped garlic (and onion, I think) in the hot oil and it burned. I put in the chicken but hey! I'm so smart that it wasn't done thawing yet! And I tried cutting it but no, it was too hard :/ And then I put the Udon in the wok but what do you know - I didn't cute the noodles first and so it went into the wok like a block of wood.
It looked like fried macaronis instead but it tasted quite good. :D

The only one I can remember right now is not about cooking but draining. I had made a pot of spaghetti, but I couldn't find my strainer, so I was trying to drain the water by holding the lid off the pot a little as I tipped it. Well it became too heavy, and you know how slippery spaghetti can be? It all slid into the sink. I was so ticked off we ordered pizza.

I put a bagel in the microwave for 20 minutes when i was like 5 because I thought my dad said 20 seconds! when I asked him how long to cook it. Of course i was young, so I thought hen you pressed 2 and 0 it was 20 sec, not min. It turns out my dad said "I'll be out in 20 seconds" anyways.

Oh dear..here goes..
I mistook mustard for butter and spread it on bread once.
Then i was told to make salad dressing and i ended up creating a nasty concotion with mayo and cream cheese..
I made tuna sandwich with left over turkey stuffing...
I poured vinegar in dish thinking it was rice wine..
I cooked pancakes in a wok...it was not a non stick pan ..ended up throwing out the wok...
Broke a few utensils..dishes..burnt a few dish rags..spoilt the kitchen microwave...
Do i need to continue..
I hire a person who does the cooking for me now...i'm a disaster in the kitchen ...my hubby is a wonderful cook..lol

That time when my friends and i had a cookout at Stephanie's house. The guys were making pancakes but left the mess and more baking for the girls. So i helped, but we girls got so caught up chatting. I held the pan and placed on the desk and it burned the table cos of the plastic. It was embarrassing. â¼

We go on vacation with my family and a friend's family every year to this island that has no restaurants or stores, you bring your food from the mainland. It was our last night there and we had ONE pizza left and no other food, so I volunteered to go cook it for us. Ten minutes later we smelled something burning and it turns out I accidentally left it on the cardboard it came on. Woops! We had no dinner!

Once when making tacos I accidentally dumped an entire jar of crushed red pepper into the ground beef (I forgot it had the pop-top and twisted it off instead). I wasn't even mad-I was just in shock that I had so spectacularly ruined dinner!
