I say someone's in here, but now I always just cough when people come in so they know someone else is there so they don't knock on my door potentially opening it if the door has no lock...

Girl that happened to me the other day. 3 men was in my apartment from the insurance place inspecting damn near 2 years later after the hurricane and I was on the toilet taking a poop and talking on the phone and they stayed about 15 min and I was to shame to walk out that bathroom so, I stayed on the toilet until they left, and I dint want them to smell the bathroom. I could have just flushed my self down the toilet I was so shame !!!

If am sure the lock won't pull off, I don't answer anything. Maybe pour some water down if they still try to knock again.

I don't answer the door half the time anyway. So, I definitely wouldn't open it then.
