If you have watched the movie Fargo?

I recently watched Fargo for the first time. The way they talk is so ridiculous! I have friends that live there and none of them talk like that! Do you think that people in Fargo North Dakota talk like they do on the movie called Fargo?

I think the show producer must think that The Dakotas are full of decendants from Norway. Ya Betcha Babe!

I am sure there are a few that probably still talk that way. This a dark comedy and somewhat of a parody, so the Cohen brothers wanted to parody the language a little. There are some people in Michigan, that I know, that talk with a slight accent.

I met a woman from North Dakota that talked similar to the actors in the movie. I'm sure that the actors accents were over exaggerated in that movie. It totally made the movie.
