Lemons have quite a lot of acid in them, and guess what happens when you get lemon juice in a papercut?
Hurts like a mother. I guess the person's supposed to derive pleasure from getting lemon juice in someone else's papercut and watching them squirm.

The original was if life gives you lemons,
make lemonade,
u know, make the best of a sour situation.
if you squeeze the lemon on a kid with a papercut, I guess some people get "satisfaction" out of hurting someobody. It's anyway an angry gesture.
As for throw back watermelons, that means to fight back

It means take your misfortune ( the lemons) and put that unfortunate lemon juice on that kid's papercut...it will make you feel better knowing it is worse for him than you .
