I'm practicing to be a good basketball player, but can somebody explain to me the violations and rules, ect. Please.

There are so many so I'll just name a few basic ones. Just go for it, the game isn't too complicated to learn.

Traveling: when you pick up the ball and run with it, not dribbling. Don't do it!

Double dribbling: When you pick up your dribble and then start dribbling again. Not good!!

10 seconds rule: You have 10 seconds, after the opposing team scores and the ref. hands you the ball out of bounds, to get the ball down the court.

3 seconds rule: on offense, don't stand inside the box (aka paint, or key area) for more than three seconds.

5 seconds rule: you always have five seconds, after the ref. hands you the ball, to pass the ball inbounds. If you don't do it in time then you lose possession.

Basketball rules and regulations are pretty much complex and extensive. Better log on to the FIBA website for international rules or NBA.com for professional rules. Hope this helps.

even the refs cant answer this question. have you watched a game lately/? all the bad calls and bad decisions. sorry wish i could help ,.

you cant hit and wen you buns it cant go over your sholder and if you pas your have cort its is wronk
