Can't ask the dead Al Qaeda guy, most US troops don't speak Arabic so they can't ask any Iraqis, & any foreign Al Qaeda Arab looks exactly like an Iraqi Arab. Plus if a bomb blows up an Iraqi house that contains innocent Iraqis civilians & a few Al Qaeda terrorists & they are blow to bits, how would you know which is which?

Their tatoos, really...Al Qaeda don't look and sound like Iraqs. They are foreigners that may dress like cavemen (even for Arabs), don't know the area and since they plan on dieing for God, they believe they have special privileges such as porn, alcohol, tatoo, smoking, steroids and illegal drugs. When they die they believe all that will be brushed away as if they had a one one ticket to heaven. They also don't like blending in and generally harrass the local population with weapons. So a team of soldiers raid a house and find the refrigerator stocked with beer, they know the house isn't home to Iraqis. The U.S. soldiers have translators with them to pick out the foreign twang that Al Qaeda members have.
When a house gets blown up it doesn't really blow up unless it's a very big bomb. generally the building collapses on the person or fills the person with shrapnel. A hellfire missle or a rocket from an attack helicopter will rip a person to shred but won't turn the body into pink mist. Then they will look for things like ammo pouches on the body.

They have no idea, they only surmise from munitions found in places that they have invaded. Our troops have no idea of who is who, there are a few that they can trust, they work as translators but since very few Americans speak the language, we have no idea of what is being asked & what is being answered! I'm sure that some innocents have been killed but our troops are hardly to blame; the insurgents will use children to kill, so our people must be a bit parinoid by now & just might shoot at anything that moves!
