Hiya Michael,

I hear you say that the entire desktop and any Internet browser window is half size. The other answer is a good one but I think you mean that the screen is only half utilized. The fix for this would be to use the buttons on the monitor to increase the horizontal and vertical sizes until the display fills the screen This is very easy on most monitors and some display adapters have controls in the advanced display properties that will allow you to do this via software.

Gee, I hope I am correct in decrypting your question ; )

GOOD LUCK!

It sounds like your desktop picture resolution is lower than your screen resolution.

You can:
Get a higher resolution picture. One that has the same resolution as your screen will be perfect.

Change the desktop picture position from Center to Stretch.
This will stretch the picture to fill the screen, but may make it a little grainy.

Reduce the screen resolution. This will make everything bigger on your display. Desktop background, yahoo web pages, word documents etc. But you will get less information on your screen and LCDs may look a little blurry when they are not at the native resolution.
