Umm... if that's supposed to say 7*5 + 7*3 or 7x5 + 7x3, then think about what's happening.

What are you doing with the 7?

Answer: You are distributing the 7 to the 5 and the 3.

Well, here's how I would solve it. I would distribute 7(5+3) to get 35 plus 21. After that, I would make sure that your signs are right in the second part of the problem. (7.5 and 7.3 are NOT the same as 7x5 + 7x3). But I would definitely call this a distributive property because of the distributing at the beginning of the problem.

The dot is often used to denote multiplication and therefore above may be written as:-
7.(5 + 3) = 7 x 5 + 7 x 3
ie the 7 has been distributed over 5 and 3.
Answer is DISTRIBUTIVE.

7(5+3)=56

7.5=35
7.3=21
35+21=56.....therefore 7(5+3)=7.5+7.3......................

the . between the 7 and 5, and 7 and 3 being used as another symbol for multiplication. its called a balanced equation.
