I'm not sure. You might try asking a physical therapist that does water therapy with persons with amputations what they use in a pool and if a special type of life preserver is needed.
Why not give it a trial run in a friend's swimming pool to see how the life jacket fits.

You might try calling the water park & ask their accomidations for persons with disabilities such as you mentioned. (There is the American Disabilities Act that most parks are required to make accomidations for). I would have friends at the end drop pool there to give you a hand!
