I can forsee the tighter jerseys from the 70's and early 80' coming back. The tight short shorts? Heck no. My high school's uniforms had flys in the short shorts - and by the time I was a senior, their last year in the school rotation, I had multiple teammates come running over to the bench during games with the fly having torn out. Men in short shorts should never come back. Kind of like speedos, they really are not all that appropriate.

The primary reason that the NBA went away from the short, tighter NBA uniform shorts was that MJ had such skinny legs.

So, as younger people started wearing baggier pants, MJ switched to longer baggier uniform shorts.

I mean did you see how skinny MJ's legs are in that movie he made when he was suspended from the NBA for 18 months?

As long as the fashion remains for baggy pants, the NBA will stick with longer baggy pants to attract the younger crowd for marketing and TV viewing reasons.

They look better than the ones of today where you can't tell if they are wearing shorts or pants.
