Maybe he could..umm..do small jobs around other peoples' houses for them. That's one way..I really can't think of any more, but If I do, I'll leave another message.

Depending on the age of your son, he could probably make a few extra dollars doing a little landscaping around the neighborhood. This is especially good if there are senior citizens in your neighborhood who are not able to cut the grass themselves.

Another idea that I've read lately is cleaning out garages for people. I don't know what to charge for a good garage cleaning, but I imagine your son could probably make $10 - $40 per lawn that he cut depending on the size of the yard.

Also, if you live in a climate where it snows, the landscaping could continue into winter with a shovel or with a snowblower.

Hope that helps a little. When I was a kid we made a killing doing this in Cleveland.

Wash cars, clean out garages, pet sit (take care of people's pets when they're traveling), run errands, etc.

One of my neighbor kids runs errands for me.
