Wow i've seen most of those and Insidious was definitely pretty damn scary. Sounds like you need some international flavor: The Orphanage - haunting, scary and a beautiful story from Guillermo del Toro The Eye - the Chinese version! A few terrifying scenes and an ending twist that rivals The Sixth Sense Event Horizon - sci-fi horror that scared everyone I know A Tale of Two Sisters - visually stunning Korean horror

I have to say, although it sounds thoroughly lame, The Blair Witch Project. That movie scared me so much. The lights were out, my dad convinced me to watch it, and I was FREAKED OUT. I could not sleep that night, or for the next week. When I got out of bed bloodshot in the morning, do you know what my dad did? He said to me "there's a bundle of sticks on our front porch." I screamed bloody muder.

The thing is that BWP isn't scary visually, just suspenseful, but it allows you to insert your biggest fear, it leaves it all to you, which is scarier than all.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose got me pretty freaked out too, just not as much as BWP. With the compass and them all going in circles and turning crazy. Plus there used to be an owl right outside my window that sounded JUST like the owl from the Blair Witch Project. I almost took a paint gun and killed it, but it thankfully flew away.

I don't like scary movies much. because the ideas stick with me.

Good luck in your quest for the scariest, pee in your pants, stay up for a month, quiver under the blanket movie!

Dead Silence was Ok at BEST..............Messengers was the stupides movie, not scary at all. The best horror flim ever is 120 Days of Sodom..........a very rare movie that is hard to find but never the less scary the f***ing skin off of you.

When a Killer Calls. It was the movie they remade into When a Stranger Calls. But, you HAVE to watch the old version. It is very very scary. "Why haven't you checked on the children?"

And The Exorcist.....still haunts me today.

Ya'll will probably laugh at me for saying this, but when i first saw "What lies beneath" at the theaters it scared the crap out of me. Watching it on DVD was, for some reason, far less scary and more like a drama.
