problem:
6x^2(x+4)^ 1/2 + 2x^3 (1/2 (x+4)^ -1/2 ..this was a deriv problem but i got to this far and dont know what to do next

looking at your math problem there you might just be confused with the properties
it looks like you'll have to use the product rule and chain rule a lot, be careful with your algebra

= 6x^2(x+4)^.5 +2x^3/[2(x+4)^.5]
= 6x^2(x+4) +x^3
= 7x^3 + 24x^2

I think you should go back to your original problem and retrace your steps. When you are confused, that's always a great place to start. Or at least give the original question on your question.

Use the distributive property, I'm guessing, then keep simplifying
