I don't know the address, I saw a number on a tree in front of the , so I'm assuming that's the house number , I'm trying to do a search with that number and the road the house is on, but nothing is coming up.
The area is really rural and probably about one or two other houses about 3 or more miles away, the house has been abandon for over 3 years now, it's a huge farm house with a huge barn and about 15 acres or more of land.
I will like to rent this house or possibly buy it, is there anyway online that i can find out who owns this house or even get an address on it. It's in Otsego County NY, Possibly Morris or Laurens Town/Village.

You need to go to the tax assessor's website or the actual physical office. You provide them with the street address and they will give you the registered owner's name and address. Then you write or call the owner and tell them your proposition. Be sure to have a cash deposit and a pre-written contract with you - that way you can lock them into an agreement on the first visit. Or, in the alternate, you figure out the parcel # of the lot based on the street address and look it up on the county plat map. That will also lead you to the owner's name and address. Often these kinds of things require going to the tax assessor's/tax collector's office.

Just me is right on, the county tax office of that county will provide you the name of the owner of the house. Get the address while you are there and send them a letter.
