these type of cars...civics...with little v4 engines! how much money would they put in it to make it peform as a good as a mustang (gt), trans am, or infinit g35 something that is meant for racing....would you spend alot less money and get just as good performance in a car? or would it just maybe be faster....I don't care that much for speed as long as its not slow....I mean after you put a turbocharger on that civic or something or a supercharger etc...to the point where you made it fast....it really wouldn't save you that much money on gas anywhere right even if it is a v4 ...I have nothing against hondas...there reliable cars and get good gas mileage..but it does look lame on the streeet when it sounds like a lawnmower and if its like a hatchback it looks funny....looks like fast and the furious wannabes that is so old already

how much you ask all depends on what you want your car to do on the road. If your going for a little more hp and speed then just get a couple of bolt ons for a less than a thousand. Now if you want fast then like 13 to 14 sec then your looking to spend a couple of grand from tires brakes and engine performance.

You've nailed it. No matter HOW much money and improvements you make on a four cylinder engine (inline four, not V4 by the way) it will NEVER perform like a big V8 will. It's not horsepower, it's TORQUE you want on the street. Maybe some tuner dope can squeeze 275 hp out of a Civic after dumping $5,000 into the engine and turbo but unless you damn near drive it at redline the torque isn't enough to pull it up a driveway. The DO look lame, by the way. What is the appeal of those idiotic wings and garbage can sized exhaust pipes? And why have a giant decal that says 'NOPI' plastered on the sides? What the crap does that mean anyway?

Some guys have over 100K dollars invested in their tuners. These are the show and go cars and rarely seen on the street. A more reasonable figure would be 5 to 10K.
