Dear Acura-
That is your intake duct. Nice crackage!
The one suggestion to wrap it with Duct-Tape is a good one until you can get the duct replaced. But replaced is exactly what it needs.
This looks like it is AFTER the air filter, if that is the case you are pulling contaminated air into your cylinders, (unfiltered).
This means that dust and grit are getting into your engine and acting just like a piece of sand paper.
It also looks like it is after the Mass Air-Flow Sensor. If that is the case, the computer is receiving a false reading, and your fule milage will suffer due to this. The other side, is that you may also experience a power loss.
Suggest getting this part replaced ASAP.
Good luck!

You should be able to find the part at a salvage yard. Either that are it would be a good time ot put a cold air intake on your car, if you wanted. Seal the crack in the meantime. You don't want air with contamination getting into the engine. No dust or dirt if you want the car running properly for a long time.

Hard to tell exactly where the arrow points. The big plastic pipe is the intake tube to the throttle body. The small pipe behind it is a heater tube. (Connects heater hoses together.)

That's your air intake. You can replace it, or just cover the hole up with some black duct tape. It's no big deal though, you could remove it entirely and your car would be fine.

No, but why don't you do this . Make a copy of the picture then take it to a place that sells automotive parts and ask them.
