I noticed people don't have any problem with saying so and so is plain looking, or so and so is unattractive, but when it comes to ugly babies, people lie. For instance, people posted these pics of their (ugly, IMO) babies

http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/viewtopic.php?t=107852, and everyone is all: "how adorable," but I've seen some women on that site who are unattractive post pictures of their hair or something, and no one showers them with fake compliments. Why do babies always have to be "adorable?" I think I have a temptation to not lie when it comes to ugly babies because we're sort of threatened by the new generation coming along and replacing us, and we think well, at least we should have some good looking people in our place. I know just for saying this that I'll end up with ugly babies. Why do you feel compelled to compliment ugly babies, and if you don't, what do you say?
