Penny Marshall has been married to Rob Reiner for more than 25 years. Penny Marshall cast Rosie in "A League of Their Own", which she directed.
As for the comment speculating about Sharon Gless, she's been married to Barry Rosenzweig since 1991 and lists herself as straight.

No. In fact, Penny Marshall never did like Rosie, even as a person.

penny marshall is a straight woman with a marriage of over 25 years.i 4get her husbands name, but they appeared together in a disney halloween movie about salem witches, also with bette midler-penny marshalls husband played a homeowner giving out candy, she played his wife-they are married in real life too..i think someone made this up because with the bronx accents and unusual looks,it would be too funny if they were 2gether!!!!

There used to be a rumor to that effect anyway. The mental picture which goes along with that coupling is almost too scary for mere words to portray however!

I have no idea, but I think the two women on "Cagney & Lacey" (Sharon Gless and I forget the other woman's name) were gay- I don't know if they were lovers though.
