Use a white toothpaste and a rag. It will cut through the acid film and polish the windshield too. Then you might want to coat the windshield with Rain-X. That will help seal your windshield and the rain will run right off the glass if you are doing over 25 mph. Good stuff.

Turn on the windshield wiper fluid and then turn on the wipers, then turn them off. Next, rinse the windshield. Use a household cleaning product, get a squeegee and wipe the windshields dry. Let me know if this works.

Use a commercial glass cleaner like Windex. If that fails try 70% isopropyl alcohol. Buy it at any drugstore.
