going to PV with a friend, traveling separately. is is ok for her to wait in the airport for me?

she gets in two hours before me . just want to make sure it is okay for her to wait in the airport for a couple hours or if she should go to the hotel and wait there, we wanted to take the same transportation to the hotel

The Airport in Puerto Vallarta is safe and it is not problem to wait for incoming flights. Many people do of course.. Personally I would pay the extra $$$ to not have to sit in an airport but it is up to you.
