But why are blacks prejudice towards all white people?? I mean yeah, the whole slavery thing. . . but I thought we set that straight?? We practically gave them the whole country!! I don't get it. I work in retail, and I work with blacks. . .I swear, they will ignore me, even though I have a register open, and go straight to the black guy!! LISTEN NOT ALL WHITES ARE PREJUDICE!! Just get over yourselves. . .it's a new era! shoot, I love black people. I think they're funny. But hey, guess I can't change the world with one opinion.

Maybe they were taught to be that way.....cautious. Also, they probably had a bad experience or two with "white" people. Iam sure they have every right to act the way you do just like you had the right to ask this question. Just let it go & move on.

I can't believe you said "the whole slavery thing" so nonchalantly. As if it was a minor episode in history. I don't remember anyone setting anything straight regarding slavery. And what country where Black people given?

Can you say honestly, as a white, that if you go to a store counter where two clerks are in attendance - one Black and one white - you won't automatically go to the white clerk if both clerks are free or have identical length lines? Why is it necessary to bring slavery into it? It is not racism - it is a sub-conscious action. Black people don't expect you to love them. They seek only your respect and to be treated as equal human beings

This is classic..."I love black people. I think they're funny." Based on what? Eddie Murphy? Chris Rock? That statement in itself implies that you stereotype. I will tell you that if that is the way you come off to the people you are talking about that is why they avoid you. That statement sounded very rude and condisending.
