It's part of your Consciousness mind. It's just trying to tell you that right now you're in a stress. It can also be guilt!!! so maybe you have something to tell someone. It can also mean that you are protecting something/someone from someone. Maybe you're worried about someone close to you because he/she is leaving you...

Agree with Holly and Cavassi. Got to slow down your movements a bit, get a tray to place valuable things like your keys, passes, etc, at a central place. Lower your expectations of people and don't worry too much.Avoid debates, quarrels or conflicting situations in the day. If you had a couple of bad experiences of some idiots stealing your valuables, just affirm yourself it is history and gone, no point thinking about them. So now just lock up your things and gain some confidence this way, esp when you are holding a big house party.
Then I assure you will be able to enjoy a long, undisturbed sleep and the dreams may even be different, sweet and inspiring.Sure works and Happy Snoring!

dreams are what we think about all day (sometimes they get mish mashed as different thought mesh and they come out strange). You didn't say your age so I can't pinpoint specifics. Were you thinking during the day that you are somewhat disorganized or maybe someone thought you were? Were you a little frustrated during the day that something wasn't gettting accomplished or that you didn't have all the facts yet to come up with an answer for something? Did you encounter something during the day that you couldn't remember where you put something? Just what is happening in your daily life?

My guess would be that you are finding yourself overwhelmed in some area or many areas of life. You are trying to do your best, but your best doesn't seem good enough.
Relax. Reevaluate the situation. Maybe you do not have to be in control of as much as you think you do. Use a management philosophy. Instead of controlling things, mange their operation. Let somethings that can operate on their own do so. It may relieve the pressure. If you can't relieve the pressure, move into crisis management mode - keep asmany fingers as you can in the dike. Good luck!

I too have dreams like these. It sounds to me that your trying too hard to hold onto things that may seem important to you now, but you may have to look at what your trying to grab and why. If they are all possesions that you can replace why are they so important to you? I think your inner mind or your subconscience is asking you to rethink what really is important to you. Then I reckon you'll have peace

Dude only you can interpret your dreams
Its your subconscious, its relative to your life
But actually i think people read to much into their dreams, if i remember my dreams it just means i didn't get enough sleep
(didn't complete my REM cycle)
If your inner mind is trying to tell you something it would try just as hard to communicate with you when you are awake.
