Camarillo isn't that far from L.A., or particularly the Valley, which has some acting opportunities. But, if your parents don't want to drive you in to audition for commercials or whatever, you have plenty of time to hone your craft with community theatre. They always need help. Just call or go in and see.

Sorry, but your dad's suggestion may give you practice, and may give you confidence, but it's only part of the answer. If you want to be good, you need to be with a group or with a teacher/trainer. Most of those cost money, of course, but possibly not if you agree to help out at the community theatre.

That, or wait until you are old enough to take acting classes in school.

I think you should try it, but also try going to a acting workshop, or acting classes because there is where you learn the real things about acting. If you want to work in movies then I do not contradict the idea of you doing that movie your dad proposed you. If you want to act like in theatre then you must get those acting classes and do a lot of ensemble work. There is a big difference, but its a good idea the one with the movie and the kids, but as you are young maybe I would suggest you to try acting classes under any circumstances. Try that movie, but keep in mind those acting classes, because if you participate in a play with that group you will join for your acting classes then there is a higher probability that you'll get discovered.
Hope I helped, and wish you luck!!

Let her help with the baby. My 4 year old was 1 month from turning 3 when I had my second one. I told her that the baby was her baby sister and gave her tasks to help with. Right from the beginning she didn't like to hear the baby cry and most of the day all i heard was "baby crying baby crying." She would be allowed to sit with me on the bed while i was nursing and would sing to the baby. When I started giving bottles she was allowed to sit with me and hold the bottle. When the baby got older, i would prop the baby up and the older one would hold the bottle while i worked (in the same room). She loved to help me change the baby. I'd let her do the Velcro straps up (adjusting them after she was done) and then she would throw the diapers in the trash. (she still loves doing this). I also made sure to allow some one on one time with my older girl as well, usually during naps and also found things that we could all do together (walks, park time, anything that could involve a stroller). The two girls are now 4 and 20 months and best friends. One is lost without the other (which is worse for the younger than the older). As time goes on, I hope this will continue.

No. How do you expect to take acting lessons at home. Hon, acting is interative. Have you ever been to a play? Actors communicate with each other ON STAGE!
There is dialogue between and among actors, while on stage.

Sorry, your dad has a dumb idea, DAD! Hon, you ONLY learn acting in a group acting class with other students and the acting teacher. Apparently your dad does NOT want you to pursue acting and is trying to find a way to keep you at home.

Well, I don't really understand the question. But what I get from it is this: If you're going to try and work your acting skills at home, it may work to help you get started, but really you need to be in a different environment with other people that you can work with. Get with a community theatre or see if your school has a drama program.
