They annoy the heck out of me. My personal favorite hated question is "Does he/she like me" and "What do girls/guys look for in the opposite sex?" I've actually put up a question asking why the latter questions exist - just visit my profile.
But I agree with you. I can't stand people who don't believe in themselves and have no self confidence and quite frankly, these people fit this description exactly.

Some people are lonely with low self esteem and maybe they just want some insight good or bad just to help them make a decision. Some want attention the more that answer the better they feel. I am all for helping someone feel better and since it is only through words I can do this what is the harm of answering even the silliest. Make someone feel good today answer a silly question. It might make their day.

I don't have a problem with those kinds of questions, because usually they are describing a specific personality trait about their potential date that they are questioning.
I do think, however, that they should put those questions where they belong: in the Singles and Dating section.

I agree with you because there is no way that we can honestly answer questions like those. They need to be more specific and tell us more about themselves.

I believe most people do it as mocking people who actually do post questions like that.

I think you just gave us "all" something to think about. I honestly have already wondered about that. It's like we are shooting in the Dark. Huh?

Totally agreed. Also, when they ask facts, which they could easily find on yahoo or google...

The askers probably assume that they are no different than us in outlook in life and personality. That is just my guess.

Because they are extremely young and don't have a sense of perspective and objectivity yet.
