One day last week I was missing my Princess so much. I decided to go fishing and get my mind off things. But the fishing didn't help. Couldn't keep my mind on it. Just kept thinking about my Princess. So I ended up just sitting by the water and tossing stones and watching the fish in the clear water. A bit later company arrived. A small herd of cows had come down to the water to drink and eat the clover that surrounds the pond. One old cow came up to me and nudged me out of the way of what must have been her favorite spot of clover. I'll call her "bossy". So I moved a few feet away and while she was eating I told her all about my Princess and how much I loved her and how very much I missed her. Old Bossy nodded a couple of times but never really said much. I don't think cows really care that much about what humans do as long as they can eat clover. But when I left them there by the pond, old Bossy turned and looked at me as if to say "good luck". I still missed my Princess as much as ever when I left but in some strange way it felt good to talk about her, even to Bossy. Now I go back to the pond every now and then. And I take Bossy a couple of carrots to munch on as I talk about my Princess. Bossy is actually very good company for this lonely old country boy. And she listens very well. I think there is just the slighest possiblity that she understands how very much I love and miss my Princess. I really do.

it depends, if it is somebody you love, then find a way not to separate from them, that's where relocation sacrifices are made in the sake of love. If it is not a romantic love involved, be in touch with telephones and e-mails, expressing your feelings. Letting them know you miss them and exchange that warm energy. To be honest, it would be very hard for me to live away from my family. We have always been close and in some ways it's almost a necessity to be around them. That's why, hands down, for me family is the most important thing aside from good health, which is a no-brainer because you have to be alive and well first.

I'm missing someone right now, I try to take my mind off them by keeping busy, but late at night I can't help but think of them, so I just give in to it.

Keep busy and do the most random mundane things to keep your mind from missing them...

Alternatively, if you miss them that much then get on a train, plane or in a car and go see them....

Depends what and why you are missing them.If it is by death search for peace and understanding. If it is from breaking up grieve and move on. Try doing something new and different.

think of times we shared together. Then try to snap myself out of it, by being with friends, watching a movie, or reading a book.
