Me and my family been looking everywhere in CA for somewhere to start for acting. I'm only 10 and my brother is 14. We went to Hollywood group but they were asking for $1500, so we didn't wanna pay that much. We think if ppl ask for money 1st, then it's a fake. We dunno where to go. Any suggestions, it wud be very helpful

Yes, commercials, small roles. Or maybe the local colleges need extras for movies some students do.

yea, those people would never have to ask for money, they should be paying you. Look into ads and do small roles

Well, everybody (I shouldn`t say everybody, probably just 80% of LA population hehe)in LA is acting or looking for a career in the entertainment business so it`s a hardtask.
I`m looking for the same thing myself, but definitively living there and getting to know people or going to the schools that are around that area help alot, at least you have a 20% advanced.
The rest is about your talent, your personality, you looks, your will and being in the right time, in the right moment with the right person.

Well it's not likely to be a fake.Acting lessons are dear, because to act well you need to be trained. But I would say to you-check out the Amateur Musical and Drama groups in your district.See if they know of, or run holiday programs for children.I live in New Zealand, and we run groups for children wanting to act and sing. When your a bit older you can join in a drama or musical group, and learn stagecraft there.Right at the moment you can read books on Stagecraft, or maybe find websites that can assist. At a pinch maybe your local church might run a group.Good Luck!

Start by asking your acting teacher. You don't start acting, one must study acting for 10 to 15 years.

After that you can audition for roles in theater productions in your city. It takes many years to become a successul actor, one must have patience.
