is there any thing that can keep me busy with out costing me money.?

Question

I am on a fixed income, and I am always stuck in the house all day with out nothing to do. in between the first day of the month and the last day of the month every month I have nothing to do.
I just can't get a job right now because I have no high school deploma. now days every thing cost money even to have fun.
so what can thing are out there for me to do with out spending any money. that will keep me busy and out of the house every day.

There are lots of organizations looking for volunteers. Try your local hospital, local library.....

There are several good answers above, to which I would add: Sports. I recall during particularly rough financial periods in my life I got incredibly physically fit. I used to play basketball for hours at teh local parks. An $11 basketball or a $25 pair of runnig shoes goes a long way.

Too bad you want to be out of the house - otherwise you could do surveys on line and make a little money. You could also get addicted to Yahoo answers, and give your opinion all day long.

Check local mayors office for volunteer work. spend time at the library. Help out stray animals. (Bathe them, brush them, look for id tags to call owner.)

go to the library and read books. that is free.

you can get a job with no High school diploma... you just won't be making a lot of money.

draw, write, observe, and etc... lot of things to do but choose wisely...
