No, I don't ALWAYS take things literally. Some things I don't take at all. And actually, "take" in this case is a metaphor, so it would be impossible to take something literally unless you were LITERALLY taking it.

Nope. Our language is gloriously full of simile, metaphor, allegory, and imagery. If you pay attention to what is being said, and the context surrounding it, you should be able to discern whether or not someone is speaking literally of figuratively.

No, most of the time no. Life is full of jokes and funny stupidity. I live off of that, if ppl took thing always literally, then god idk, but it would be pretty bad.
